What Are The POP And SMTP Settings For SBCGlobal Net?
12 months ago

SMTP means simple mail transfer protocol and POP post office protocol. Both POP and SMTP are two protocols which help in both sending and receiving mail. This helps the user to send mail from any location. SMTP is used to send the message and deliver it whereas POP is used to pick up the message and then deliver it to the reader.

In sbcglobal email settings what will be the POP and SMTP settings? Incoming mail servers will be like pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com and outgoing mail servers will be like smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com. First we will have a look at SMTP settings in the sbcglobal.net mail server settings.

  • AT&T SMTP server = smtp.mail.att.net
  • SMTP port = 465 / 587 (outbound port)
  • SMTP security = SSL / TLS
  • SMTP username = email address of the user
  • SMTP password = password of the user

Now we will see at the server type POP;

  • Username of end user.
  • Password of the user
  • Server of POP = pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com or else pop.att.yahoo.com
  • Port = 995 or 993 (inbound port)
